Summer Concert - A Night At The Movies

The Summer Music Concert this year has a film theme with music from movies including Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, James Bond, Annie and many more.

Performances will come from the Junior and Senior Choirs, Orchestra, Ukulele Club and Chinese Drummers. The all important date is Tuesday 9th June, beginning at 6:30pm on the school playground, performers will be receiving more detailed information soon. See you there!

Orchestra Jam Day

On Friday 9 talented CWBS students came along to Kowloon Junior School to take part in the 'ESF Orchestra Jam Day'. It was a super event with around 130 children from different ESF schools taking part to make an orchestra that then rehearsed and performed three songs.

Well done to Thisuni, Josetta, Lik Hang, Terry, Chi Yu, Jade, Charlie, Trevor and Peony.

A huge well done to everyone who performed at the Summer Music Concert last Tuesday - I thought you were all fantastic. It was great to see how confident and talented you all are and even better that you did it with a smile on your face!

I'm already looking forward to next year's concerts!

Orchestra in Assembly

In Friday's whole school/half school assembly we were given a musical treat by the strings group who started the assembly and then by our new school orchestra who played us out. This video shows one of the 3 songs they played.

We hope that the orchestra will start to grow in size in term 3, so if you play a musical instrument and are in years 4-6, please sign up either through Gateway or by coming to see me!

Orchestra - first rehearsal

Here's a video from our first orchestra rehearsal of the term. The children learnt this in about 20 minutes, there's still work to be done - but not bad for a first go!

We'd love to have some more people in our orchestra, if you're in years 4-6 and especially if you play violin, flute, clarinet or cello, please come and see me about getting involved!
