Tan Dun
(Born 1957)
- Tan Dun is a Chinese composer and conductor.
- He was born in a village in Changsha in the Hunan province of China.
- He is most well known for his music for the film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" for which he won an Oscar, a Grammy award and a BAFTA.
- He composed music for the medal ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
- His music often uses interesting instruments constructed from materials, such as paper, water, and stone.
