Year 5 Assembly

Hello Year 5!

Your assembly will be next week, so here is the song you will be performing.

We went away, to Treasure Island,
Where we did a great lot, without all you.
Far far away, we all went camping,
With buffalo and laughing.
It was fun to do.

We made our tents, we worked together
We zipped them up tight, when we were done.
Sleeping in them, was very cosy.
With just one problem,
Trips to the loo.

We built a fire, we barbequed
Explored the land and ate good food.
We even built a typhoon shelter
And sung funny tunes.

We made our rafts, from rope and tubing
Then raced them fast with, us all as crew.
And then we surfed, as waves were breaking
Teachers were shaking, as they got wet too.

We explored the beach,
Climbed ropes, watched crabs
So much to do, it was so fab
Watched a movie, played some games
And had fun all day through

On the last day, it was so lovely
Beach games and sand fun
But we all felt blue
Because we’ve left, a world behind us
That’s where you’d find us
If our dreams came true.
