Musician of the Month - Mozart

Every month this year I will choose a 'musician of the month'. This will be a famous musician who could be from a long time ago in history or still alive today. I'll post some interesting facts about them and put up some videos of their music for you to enjoy.

It would be great if you can leave some comments to tell me what you think about our new musician.

Click on 'read more' to find out about our musician for this month.

Musician of the Month - August

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
(1756-1791)

  • Mozart is one of the most famous classical composers of all time.
  • He was born in Salzburg, Austria.
  • He died when he was still very young, just 35 years old (that's younger than most the CWBS teachers!)
  • He was a child genius, composing his first pieces of music at the age of 5 and touring Europe playing concerts as a teenager.
Symphony number 40

Clarinet Concerto

Piano Quartet

  1. The 2nd piece of music was very calm. It was my favourite from the 3 pieces.

  2. How did the musicians learn to play the music so well? Especially when it is going very fast.

    1. Hi Jamie, thank you for commenting. It's interesting that so far we've had 3 comments and they've all had different favourites. I think that's a good thing.

  6. I liked the 3rd song because of how it was presented was great. The next musician of the month , it can be : Niocolo Paganini , Theme from Le streghe. Ivan Berlin , Puttin' on the Ritz. Or Michael Zev Gordon , Joshi's Dance.
