Year 3 - Painting with Sound

In Year 3 we have been learning about how music can describe pictures, places or feelings. We've listened to different music and thought about what it made us imagine and why. We then thought about how the composers managed to make us imagine these things. We learnt about some important musical words including 'dynamics', 'tempo', 'pitch' and 'timbre'. Then in groups and as a whole class we created music to describe different pictures. This is a video of some of the work we did as a whole class.

  1. My mum loved this video because she thinks that it was creative and the music went so well with the picture. She loved the way the music created suspense.
I liked 3C's train music because the recorder sounds really good for the whistle.
